About Encourage IT

Encourage IT provides and inspires IT solutions primarily with small businesses and organizations. The company is owned and operated by Chris Walters, a life-long devotee of computer technology and a veteran of providing IT management and development solutions professionally since 1997.

Chris has a wide variety of experience managing IT projects and personnel for small and large businesses through many roles as director, consultant, programmer, web site developer, and business applications specialist. His diverse experience includes:

• Innovating numerous ecommerce solutions for a major online media company during the initial growth phase of the Web
• Engineering database technology to calculate a $14 billion aftermarket for truck parts from the “ground up”
• Developing and implementing various interactive client databases for data mining and graphing
• Envisioning and creating several web sites for marketing survey collection, corporate and organizational communications and branding, CRM, and other interactive applications to serve client needs

Prior to Chris's IT career he taught English in a public school in suburban Chicago.
